BIOS Modding
From TPU Reference
This is not recommended for the casual computer user. You should read through how to hotflash before attempting anything mentioned in this article. TechPowerUp! will not be held responsible for any damage.
BIOS modding is a way to unlock any hidden features that may be present in your BIOS. You cannot unlock options not already present by default. There is no way to add extra memory dividers, memory timings, etc., this is covered in another article Adding custom code to a BIOS.
To BIOS mod your computer must use an Award BIOS. You also need a copy of your BIOS, you can get this from your motherboard company's website and Modbin.
It is very simple to use Modbin, simply run the program and the open your BIOS file. After opening it, look for items "hidden" by the manufacturing company. Unlock these and save your BIOS to another file. Reboot your computer, after saving this file, so Modbin can correctly compile your BIOS.
Now that you have rebooted you have two choices either use Winflash or use Award Flash to flash the BIOS in DOS. Both work fine, however, I prefer Winflash since it is simpler to use.
Once you have flashed your BIOS you can change the settings you unlocked.
