Swiftech Storms presently do not have a retention mechanism for socket AM2, and many other waterblocks are probably in a similar situation. This is a method I am using to mount my Swiftech Storm on socket AM2. This would probably work for other waterblocks as well.

The plastic retention frame on the mtoherboard is screwed down in 4 spots. Unscrew it and do whatever with the 4 short screws. Remove the plastic frame (leave the metal backplate!). Find all the mounting hardware that came with your Storm. the 603/604 Xeon bolts should thread into the holes on the backplate. Now, apply your thermal paste to your CPU and place your storm on top. Place the plastic retention frame around the storm, making sure to keep the storm lined up in what eyeballs to be a good mount. Use the 4 xeon screws to screw the retention frame to the backplate again, sandwiching the Storm to the CPU in between. If the bolts are too long and hit your motherboard tray, mix and match plastic washers from your mounting hardware between the screw's head and the plastic frame.
