SSE4 (Streaming SIMD Extensions 4) is an SIMD instruction set currently in development by Intel and is scheduled to be released in 2008 with the Nehalem micro-architecture, although parts of SSE4 may be included in the Penryn micro-architecture when it is released in 2007.
